Saltå Kvarn move their processes from the past into the future with ExFlow AP Automation

MOVING INTO THE FUTURE

Saltå Kvarn is growing and a couple of years ago they started looking for a new ERP system that could meet their specific needs combined with saving time and money. Working together with Softronic they found the solution; ExFlow combined with Foodware from Aptean, two high quality standard solutions based on and built-in Microsoft D365 Business Central.

Before the implementation, Saltå Kvarn was handling and moving all the papers by hand. Saltå Kvarn’s accounting assistant, Karin, explains that everything took a long time to do, moving one invoice from binder to binder, entering data manually and even using pen and erasers. The need for greater efficiency and more organized way of working was required. Now Saltå Kvarn’s accountancy work has improved time management stress, become more streamlined, and everybody in the organization has a better view of the invoices and the flows.

”We have taken a leap of 30 years into the future when changing to this ERP system and is taking advantage of more automatic and digital handling” explains Annika Wide, CFO at Saltå Kvarn.

Switching to these solutions has also created more time to do other things, making the work more efficient and easier. ExFlow has also given the employees at Saltå Kvarn the opportunity to work from home, which has been valuable during the pandemic, it helped them to stay safe and be able to continue to run the business without interruptions.

FOODWARE + EXFLOW = THE NATURAL CHOICE

For many years, Softronic has been one of the leading suppliers of Foodware, a solution based on Microsoft D365 Business Central. Foodware from Aptean is tailored to the food manufacturing industry. Saltå Kvarn started the implementation of ExFlow and Foodware during 2020 and the benefits from previous ways of working is huge. Among other things, the work for the AP department is now far more time efficient. ” Softronic, an established ERP partner , has been working with both Aptean and SignUp for many years and made several implementations for the food industry” explains Henry Skog, Sales at Softronic.

Moving over to this system has not only made the work more efficient, but it has also given Saltå Kvarn a better overview of their business. Due to strict food industry regulations, Saltå Kvarn need to be able to track and trace batches in case product needs to be recalled or other matters of traceability. Foodware helps with that.

Users of ExFlow experience a positive and easy way of working. At Saltå Kvarn there is no exception. Annika explains; “We are very proud that we are doing best practice now when it comes to handling invoices”. Followed by “You have to note that we are two rather aged ladies, and we are not afraid of new technical developments, no one should be fighting against development and evolution”. Above that, ExFlow gives all the employees at Saltå Kvarn a better view of invoices and the invoice flow.
